Ted & Nune

Ted & Nune Studio is the creative practice and exhibition space of photographers Ted and Nune, whose work explores Armenian history, landscapes, identity, and cultural heritage. Their projects combine photographs with research and storytelling, inviting audiences to consider the connections between place, memory, and belonging. A central body of work, Stone & Candle: Armenian Monasteries, grew from a five-year study and has been presented through exhibitions, talks, and a published book. Their more recent project, Syunik: Landscape of Endurance, focuses on Armenia’s southern highlands, including its monasteries, mountain villages, and rugged terrain.

The studio shares the artists’ work through exhibitions, open-studio events, artist conversations, book presentations, and photography festivals. Visitors can encounter works in progress, film excerpts, and behind-the-scenes insights into developing projects. Ted and Nune also offer hands-on educational programming, including a fine art photography printing workshop, and present photographs and books at events and sales. Based in a welcoming studio setting, the practice connects photography with public engagement and, through selected initiatives, support for communities in Armenia’s Syunik region.
