About TEDxUTsukuba
TEDxUTsukuba is a brand that brings the TED and TEDx community to you. TED is a non-profit organization that aims to spread valuable ideas. It started with a four-day conference in California 30 years ago and has since grown with multiple initiatives supporting its mission.
The TED conferences, held twice a year, feature talks by experts from various fields, each lasting under 18 minutes. Many of these talks are freely available on TED. com.
Prominent speakers at TED events include Bill Gates, Al Gore, and Elizabeth Gilbert, among others. In addition to conferences, TED promotes new TED Talks daily on its platform, TED. com, runs the Open Translation Project, and has educational initiatives like TED-Ed.
