Teen Challenge

Teen Challenge Finland is a Christian nonprofit organisation and part of the international Teen Challenge network, which operates in about 130 countries. Its work supports people seeking to move away from substance use and crime, with the aim of helping them build balanced, substance-free lives. In Espoo’s Matinkylä district, the organisation runs an open, free drop-in centre with peer support groups, meals, coffee, conversation, prayer and help with paperwork and official matters.

Legal assistance is also available free of charge. Teen Challenge Finland offers work activities and support for people completing community service or supervised release, alongside outings and camps. Young people aged 12–16 can join weekly activities, including football, games and youth evenings.

The centre also operates a bicycle repair workshop, offering affordable servicing and repairs, and a secondhand shop that accepts bicycles, furniture, clothing, accessories and sports equipment. Proceeds support its programmes for people affected by substance use or criminal histories, as well as people with limited means. Volunteers and supporters are welcome to contribute
