About The Teesside Charity
The Teesside Charity, established in March 2011, aims to create social and economic opportunities that wouldn't otherwise exist in the area. Formerly known as the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, this charity focuses on financially supporting community groups and charities within Teesside. Their goal is to enhance social well-being and provide assistance to individuals facing disadvantages in society.
The Teesside Charity offers aid to various marginalized groups, including the homeless, individuals recovering from addiction, the long-term unemployed, those living in poverty, people with disabilities, and employment schemes. Teesside, a deprived area of the UK, struggles with high crime rates, greater unemployment, and a higher percentage of students eligible for free school meals compared to the national average. Despite these challenges, Teesside exhibits remarkable resilience and a strong drive to excel in various areas.
The Teesside Charity dedicates itself to ensuring that those on the fringes of society have access to opportunities and are not excluded. They provide funding and support to empower individuals and community organizations through a range of grants and funds. By addressing key social issues, The Teesside Charity strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need
