Teivaalanharju Oy

Teivaalanharju is a small professional family home established in October 2022 and located in a scenic area of Tampere, within reach of the city’s services. The home is run by parents and is also shared with their daughter and son, two Finnish Lapphunds, and a four-toed tortoise. Its approach centers on providing young people with time, attentive presence, safety, and meaningful everyday activities in a natural, community-oriented setting.

Teivaalanharju emphasizes professional expertise alongside warmth, constructive feedback, encouragement, and recognition of each person’s strengths. Its work includes neuropsychiatric coaching and support for building a future, while everyday life can involve learning, hobbies, play, conversation, rest, pets, and a steady daily rhythm. The family home also highlights participation, cooperation with a young person’s biological family, and opportunities to develop independence, including through summer work. By combining a family environment with professional care, Teivaalanharju aims to create a supportive home where young people can feel included, build skills, and find a sense of belonging.
