Tejido Urbano is a Central American based architecture and design studio operating across residential, commercial, corporate, and urban development sectors. Our practice explores the intersection between emotional design, spatial well-being, and architectural precision — crafting spaces that are both intuitive and intentional. Founded and led by architect María Alejandra Quinteros Ralda, Tejido Urbano has completed over 60 projects throughout Guatemala, ranging from high-end private residences to large-scale urban planning initiatives. The studio’s work reflects a clear design philosophy: to create spaces that are not only functional and visually refined, but deeply connected to the people who inhabit them and the context that surrounds them. Our architectural language is grounded in material honesty, natural light, and contextual awareness. We prioritize spatial experience over form, understanding that what is not seen often carries the greatest impact. Projects such as Legado del Bosque, Unio, Serene, and Distrito Alborada embody our commitment to crafting environments that foster calm, interaction, and lasting memory. In parallel to her role at Tejido Urbano, María Alejandra leads urban planning and regeneration initiatives through GRID, a development platform focused on the design of conscious, long-term interventions in the built environment. She also serves on the board of ASODI, the Guatemalan Association of Interior Designers and Architects, where she contributes to the advancement of design excellence nationwide.
