Teknopark İstanbul is a technology development zone in Türkiye that supports local and international entrepreneurs and research companies working in advanced technology. Established in 2010, following foundations laid by a 1987 decision of the Defence Industry Executive Committee, it was founded by public, industry and academic partners, including the Presidency of Defence Industries and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. Its ecosystem focuses especially on defence, alongside aviation and space, maritime technologies, advanced electronics, artificial intelligence and other high-tech fields.
The park hosts research and development firms and centres, and provides office and land allocation, technical and administrative services, meeting rooms, social facilities, and support related to R&D and government incentives. Through its Cube entrepreneurship facilities and programs, it offers early-stage technology ventures incubation, pre-incubation, acceleration, laboratory infrastructure, mentoring, consulting and opportunities to meet investors. The organisation also provides technology transfer services and runs training, events and business-support initiatives. By bringing companies, entrepreneurs and investors together, Teknopark İstanbul aims to help turn scientific knowledge and technology into value-added products and strengthen Türkiye’s innovation ecosystem.
