Telefono Rosa Frosinone Regione Lazio ODV

Telefono Rosa Frosinone is a volunteer-run women’s support association and centre in Ceccano, in Italy’s Lazio region. For thirteen years, it has supported women experiencing violence, abuse and mistreatment, while working to prevent gender-based violence and violence against women and children through community awareness and education. Its approach centres on women’s rights, safety, confidentiality and the development of autonomy.

Support begins with a free, confidential telephone listening service staffed by trained volunteers, followed, when the woman chooses, by an in-person welcome and information meeting. By appointment, the centre offers legal information and advice from lawyers experienced in civil and criminal law, psychological counselling and therapeutic support, educational and parenting support for mothers and children, and a mutual self-help group. It also connects women with local services and supports social reintegration.

The association collaborates with public services, schools, law enforcement and community organisations, and contributes to prevention, training and information activities, including work addressing bullying and cyberbullying
