Temp.ly is a temporary email service designed to help people protect their privacy when they need an email address for short-term use. Users can enter a chosen username and select from supported domains, including temp.ly and temporary.gg, to create an inbox and view messages sent to that address. The service also allows users to enter a complete address from one of its supported domains to check for incoming mail.

For added privacy, Temp.ly offers the option to generate a secure, private inbox with a random temp.ly address. Users can set a password to keep messages private and access the inbox later. The service requires no registration, and temporary inboxes are described as auto-expiring after 10 hours. Spam protection is also listed among its features. The site includes sections for Email Notes, two-factor authentication, and a password generator, alongside its terms of service. Temp.ly provides a straightforward way to receive messages without relying on a primary email account, with both quick-use temporary addresses and password-protected inbox options.
