Tender Trails

Tender Trails Childcare is a licensed family child care home in Laurel, Maryland, serving children from infancy through age 12. With enrollment limited to eight children, the home offers a small-group setting where caregivers build warm relationships with children and work in partnership with families. Its approach centers on kindness, curiosity, play-based learning, and calm, predictable routines that support children’s physical, academic, social, emotional, and moral development.

Programs include infant care, toddler care, preschool, and before- and after-school care. Preschool activities introduce early literacy, number sense, and kindergarten readiness while preserving time for play and rest. Children’s days include creative and sensory activities, outdoor play when weather permits, quiet time, and four meals: breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. Families may provide labeled food from home.

Tender Trails also offers holiday camps during school breaks and accepts government scholarships. Care is available Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Spots are limited, and a waitlist may be available when enrollment is full.
