Tengah Island Conservation (TIC) is a science-based, community-driven, nature conservation NGO initiative based in Mersing Johor, Malaysia. As a non-profit organization, TIC is dedicated to preserving and restoring the environment and the island’s rich biodiversity through a holistic approach that integrates environmental protection, sustainable practices, and community engagement. TIC conservation current initiative is structured around four key conservation pillars: 1) Habitat and Species Monitoring 2) Integrated Island Waste Management (RUMAH EKO) 3) Sustainable Tourism ( Co Partner with The Habitat Foundation for Sustainable Tourism Network Malaysia 4) Education and Outreach TIC operates in collaboration with local communities, government agencies, researchers, and international partners. Our mission is to foster a resilient island ecosystem and environment as a whole to protect where nature and people thrive in harmony.

About Tengah Island Conservation
Tengah Island Conservation (TIC) is a non-profit biodiversity management initiative located on Pulau Tengah, an island within the Johor Marine Park, Malaysia. TIC is dedicated to the research, rehabilitation, and regeneration of our natural environment. Through scientific research, management, training, and outreach, TIC's mission is to protect and preserve marine and terrestrial biodiversity.
They work in collaboration with stakeholders, government agencies, biodiversity specialists, the tourism industry, and local communities to achieve their goals. TIC aims to create healthy ecosystems, protect flora and fauna, ensure clean and plastic-free oceans, and foster a love and understanding for biodiversity and wildlife in the community. By involving and empowering local communities, TIC strives to build sustainable relationships, promote eco-tourism practices, and create a harmonious coexistence between people and nature.
