Tengwood

Tengwood Organization is a conservation-focused organization dedicated to helping protect two little-known primates of the forests of Nigeria and Cameroon: the Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee and the drill monkey. Its website shares up-to-date information about these species, their habitats, behavior, and threats to survival, alongside information about efforts to preserve them in the wild. The organization also raises awareness of broader environmental concerns, including wildlife trafficking and the illegal trade in bushmeat.

Tengwood provides educational resources such as articles, publications, newsletters, reports, and links to further primate and conservation information. Its materials include research and reporting on bushmeat smuggling, as well as information intended to support efforts against illegal wildlife imports. The organization welcomes members and donations to help advance its conservation work, and says it hopes to return to fieldwork in Nigeria or Cameroon with support. Based in Switzerland, Tengwood also highlights partner and sponsor support and offers ways for visitors to learn about its projects, follow its updates, and contribute to protecting primates and their natural environments.
