Teofista

Teofista Boxing Stables is a Calgary boxing gym established in 2002, offering training for beginners, developing athletes, and amateur and professional boxers. The gym describes boxing as a discipline that builds skills, fitness, confidence, character, and self-defence ability, and welcomes people seeking either an introduction to the sport or coaching to sharpen their technique. Its community includes members who have trained there for years, and the program has supported fighters, including UFC athlete Hakeem Dawodu.

Alongside gym training, Teofista organizes live boxing events through the Teofista Boxing Series, with shows held at venues including the Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary and the Cochrane Lions Club. The organization also offers summer camps for children aged 6 to 15, with activities centered on boxing and athletic development. Its website provides information about the coaching team, fighters, events, sponsors, and gym locations, including Bearspaw and downtown Cochrane. Teofista Boxing Stables combines instruction, athlete development, youth programming, and public fight nights within a local boxing community.
