Terapeutika

Terapeutika, o. z. is a Slovak organization supporting people living with dementia, their families, professional caregivers, and others interested in memory and cognitive health.

Its work is guided by respect for each person and the belief that timely, appropriate support can make a meaningful difference. The organization offers counselling and interventions, support groups for family caregivers, and “Active Memory” activities in city districts. It also provides educational courses for caregivers and professionals, including tailored training, through its certified adult education institution.

A key area of its work is Validation®, the approach associated with Naomi Feil; Terapeutika provides information, workshops, certification-related opportunities, and publications on the subject. Its projects include sensory-motor cushions, “Coloured Memories,” creative adult education, and Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today training. The organization also offers an e-shop featuring publications.

Through practical guidance, learning opportunities, and community support, Terapeutika aims to help people with dementia and those around them navigate care with greater understanding and confidence
