Katoen Natie is a multinational business group based in Belgium and is one of the leading port and logistics operators worldwide. With a presence in Uruguay since the 90s, Katoen Natie has established itself as a key player in the logistics sector. In 2001, Katoen Natie acquired 80% of the shares in Terminal Cuenca del Plata, a specialized container terminal in the port of Montevideo, in partnership with the Uruguayan government through the National Ports Administration (ANP).
