Terre asbl

Terre ASBL is a Belgian nonprofit organization that has worked since 1949 to promote solidarity and environmental responsibility through textile reuse and work-based inclusion. It collects, sorts and gives second-hand textiles new purpose, supported by a network of 2,400 collection bins across Wallonia. Donated items are gathered several times a week and inspected at the organization’s sorting centres before being directed into reuse or other textile services.

Terre operates second-hand clothing shops in Wallonia and Brussels, where customers can find reused garments. It also sells second-hand textiles wholesale for export and supplies wiping cloths for industrial cleaning. For businesses, the organization offers services to help reuse unsold stock and workwear, while municipalities can seek support and information about collection bins. Visitors can discover the textile sorting process through immersive tours at centres in Herstal and Couillet.
