About Terres Publiques du Québec
Terres Publiques Québec is a mapping and outdoor-planning service that helps people explore public lands across Quebec. Its interactive map highlights free camping locations and nature activities, including hiking, hunting, fishing and ATV routes, across crown lands and other public areas. Visitors can search for destinations near cities and browse by region to plan trips in Quebec’s forests, wetlands, rivers and lakes.
The platform also supports road-trip planning. Subscribers can draw routes, split them into segments and create georeferenced PDF maps for offline use. Users can add custom markers, save itineraries and export GPX or KML files. Map downloads are available for offline exploration, while subscriptions provide unlimited downloads, private markers, private fish-species reports by lake, route planning and an ad-free experience.
Terres Publiques Québec also introduces BorealMaps, a free Android app for viewing georeferenced PDF maps with a phone’s GPS position, recording GPS tracks and downloading regions for offline use. An iPhone-accessible version is available through the BorealMaps website.
