Terreyre Saint-Cast

Saint-Cast is the artistic name associated with sculptor and bronze caster Laurent Terreyre, whose work focuses primarily on animal sculpture. His creations capture wildlife through dynamic representations of animals and carefully composed scenes that invite viewers to use their imagination and experience a sense of escape. Alongside this animal-focused work, he also creates figurative sculptures, ranging from realistic portrayals to more fanciful interpretations.

Bronze is central to Saint-Cast’s practice, valued as a material that can bring his sculptural ideas to life. Terreyre carries out the bronze casting himself rather than delegating this part of the process. This hands-on approach allows him to remain closely connected to each work, from its sculptural conception through its realization in metal. His artistic perspective reflects a fascination with discovering nature and a deep appreciation for the material qualities of bronze.

The body of work spans subjects including wild and domestic animals, birds, people, and safari scenes.
