Terror-Fi Film Festival is New Zealand's premier genre film festival, showcasing the best horror, thriller, sci-fi, and other fantastically awesome films from around the world. Founded in 2017 by genre producer and distributor James Partridge, Terror-Fi has become a must-attend event for passionate genre fans, playing to an audience of over 5,000 people each year. At Terror-Fi, we celebrate filmmakers, unique stories, new voices, and local talent.

We provide truly unique experiences both on and off screen, including custom pre-shows, themed lobbies, custom food and drink menus, dress-up events, DJs, special guests, and filmmaking masterclasses. The festival features a mix of block-buster hits and indie gems, with an international shorts program alongside our New Zealand shorts program. In addition to the film screenings, we have lots of off-screen activities planned, including a secret screening and dress-up nights.
