Tervon metsästäjät

Tervon Metsästäjät ry is a hunting club based in Tervo, Finland, founded on 17 November 1955. Its work combines hunting opportunities with wildlife management, conservation awareness, education, and community activities. The club leases hunting rights across approximately 9,000 hectares in the Tervo area, where members take part in responsible hunting, predator control, wildlife feeding, and other game-management measures. It also supports youth education, including long-running outreach with local school classes to develop knowledge of nature and hunting culture.

The club’s activities extend beyond hunting. Members participate in hunting-shooting practice and competitions, and the club supports hunting-dog training and trials by making hunting grounds available. Its Kekkola property serves as a base for hunting and wildlife management and includes facilities for processing game. The club also values outdoor recreation, excursions, learning about nature, and spending time together. With around 170 to 180 members in recent years, Tervon Metsästäjät continues a tradition of combining practical hunting activities with stewardship and community involvement.
