Terziere del Piano

Terziere del Piano is an association in Trevi, Italy, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the town’s history and traditions through the Ottobre Trevano festivities. Its activities bring medieval life to the streets with a historical procession featuring more than 100 participants, including consuls, noble families, captains, guards, and townspeople. The association also stages theatrical Allegorie, adapting historical events with local dialect, lighting, and music, and presents scenes of medieval life in Trevi’s lanes.

A central event is the Palio dei Terzieri, which recalls the determination of young Trevi residents who rebuilt the town after its destruction in 1214. Twenty runners, known as Corridori, push a 430-kilogram agricultural cart along an 800-metre route from Porta Nuova to the town square. Twelve drummers accompany the procession and compete in the Sfida dei Suoni.

The association’s Taverna serves traditional dishes during October, using local ingredients such as Trevi Black Celery and locally produced olive oil. The Taverna is described as the association’s communal home and gathering place.
