Textual Visual Media

Textual & Visual Media is a scholarly journal published by the Spanish Society of Journalism (Sociedad Española de Periodística) since 2008. It focuses on research into journalism, covering its genres and professional techniques across the communication process, from the creation of news to audience reception. Its scope includes print, audiovisual and digital media, and it accepts contributions written in English or any Neo-Latin language.

Published twice a year, the journal features peer-reviewed research articles, editorials and reviews. Submissions are assessed through blind review by two or more reviewers. Recent issues address topics such as radio and podcasting, artificial intelligence in audio and news production, digital media ethics, public broadcasting and audience behavior. Readers can access current and past issues, while authors can find submission guidance, editorial policies and information about the review process. Published articles are available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license; authors retain copyright, and reuse is permitted under the license terms. The journal is identified by ISSN 1889-2515 and electronic ISSN 2341-0981.
