About TFP Uruguay
TFP Uruguay is dedicated to promoting Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), a specialized treatment approach developed by Otto Kernberg for individuals with Borderline Personality Organization. Our mission is to enhance the understanding and application of TFP within Uruguay, providing both educational opportunities and therapeutic resources to those impacted by personality disorders.
We offer comprehensive training programs, including a unique training course in TFP scheduled for 2024 in collaboration with TFP Latinoamérica. These courses equip mental health professionals with vital tools and strategies to effectively address complex personality disorders and improve patient outcomes.
Additionally, TFP Uruguay serves as a vital resource for clinicians seeking to deepen their knowledge through recommended readings, original articles, and interviews with experts in psychodynamic therapy. We believe in creating a supportive community focused on the ongoing education and application of TFP principles within psychiatric and medical settings, ultimately aiming to improve the quality of life for individuals facing these challenges.
