About NIC
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) Telangana State Centre is part of India’s National Informatics Centre, established in 1976 to support e-governance and digital development. Through its NICNET network, NIC connects government ministries and departments, state and union territory administrations, and district administrations, helping deliver digital systems across national, state, district, and local levels. Its work supports improved public services, transparency, decentralized planning, and administration.
The Telangana centre provides digital services and technology infrastructure for government organizations. Its offerings include cloud services, domain registration, email, web hosting, cybersecurity, messaging, video conferencing, webcasting, and e-office support. It also assists with biometric attendance, network services, and data-centre operations. NIC describes its infrastructure as secure, reliable, and designed to meet the information technology needs of government.
The centre contributes to government projects and digital initiatives, while providing support through its help centre. Based in Hyderabad, it is hosted by the National Informatics Centre under India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
