That Auction Girl is the professional auctioneering service of Vanessa Thanos, a Dallas-based auctioneer with more than 10 years of experience and a lively, engaging stage presence. She specializes in live auctions for fundraising events, helping schools, foundations, and charitable organizations build excitement, connect with donors, and raise money for their causes. Her background includes early experience at her family’s Christmas tree lot, internships at Christie’s in Beverly Hills and Sotheby’s in Madrid, and formal training at the Missouri Auction School after graduating from Colby College in 2005.
This experience has familiarized her with auctioning fine wine, art, and real estate, while her work spans a range of events. Vanessa combines fast-paced calling, humor, and crowd engagement to keep auctions energetic and enjoyable. She has appeared on television, including ABC’s The Great Big American Auction with Ty Pennington, and speaks Spanish and Greek.
Based in Dallas, she is available to travel worldwide
