Biennale textile – Clermont-Ferrand is an international cultural event dedicated to textile art and its ability to reveal the diversity of human cultures. Organised by HS_Projets, a French non-profit association recognised as serving the public interest, the biennale brings together artists, museums and cultural partners from across the world. Every two years, it explores a new theme through exhibitions and public events, connecting textile heritage with contemporary artistic creation.
The 2026–27 edition, themed “Beauté(s),” runs in Clermont-Ferrand from 1 July 2026 to 10 January 2027 and is co-produced with the Musée d’ethnographie de Genève, which will host the biennale in Switzerland in 2027. Its programme includes an international exhibition at the Roger-Quilliot Art Museum, displays across cultural venues, a parade, a ball, workshops and other events. The edition features 120 artists representing 24 nationalities, with activities extending across several departments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and to Aubusson. Through international collaboration and community engagement, the biennale aims to encourage new perspectives and support ecological, economic and social exchange through art.
