The Michael Skoubis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization honoring the memory and contributions of Michael N. Skoubis to Greek youth in Chicago. Its mission is to provide scholarships to undergraduate and professional students of Hellenic descent, with awards based on academic excellence, financial need, and community involvement.
The foundation reflects Michael’s commitment to family, the Greek Orthodox faith, church, and community, as well as his lifelong passion for basketball and youth mentorship. Through decades of involvement in church youth programs, he encouraged young people to embrace faith, teamwork, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. The foundation continues this legacy by supporting Greek Orthodox athletes and students with scholarships and opportunities for mentorship and advice.
It invites individuals to contribute, join its cause, and take part in fundraising events that help support students. By carrying forward Michael’s values and dedication, the organization seeks to strengthen educational opportunity and community involvement among the young people it serves
