About The Slips
The Slips is a charming country marina nestled in the protected and historic deep-water port of Kinsale on the Yeocomico River. Conveniently located near the Chesapeake Bay, our marina offers both transient and long-term slips for boaters. In addition to our slips, we also provide kayak rentals for those looking to explore the scenic waters.
But we don't stop there! Throughout the year, we host special events that add an extra touch of excitement to the marina experience. Kinsale itself is a captivating destination located on Virginia's historic Northern Neck peninsula. With its picturesque location on the Yeocomico River, it is just a short cruise away from the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland.
By car, Kinsale is within reach of Richmond, Fredericksburg, Washington DC, Charlottesville, and Norfolk. Originally the site of a tomato canning factory, The Slips has a rich history that dates back to the 1880s. Today, under the ownership of Annie Arnest, Harry Lee's granddaughter, this marina and club are being revitalized.
