The Academy of Superheroes

The Academy of Superheroes provides individualised fitness and brain training for children and other participants with developmental delays and disabilities. Its programs aim to support physical, emotional and cognitive development, improve wellbeing and quality of life, and build confidence, social skills and healthy habits. The Academy welcomes NDIS participants with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, global developmental delays, anxiety or depression, and sensory disabilities such as hearing or vision impairment.

One-on-one sessions take place in a fully equipped fitness studio, where participants can work on coordination, fine motor skills, spatial awareness, stamina and fitness in a safe environment. For clients aged 12 and over, the Academy also offers immersive virtual reality training to practise motor and coordination skills, social communication, cooperation, and recognising and expressing emotions. Specialised equipment and VR are used in brain training to target focus, attention, working memory and sensorimotor integration. The Academy can track, quantify and report on performance improvements, helping participants and their support networks follow progress over time.
