About The Aotearoa Circle
The Aotearoa Circle is an impactful and ambitious voluntary initiative focused on the guardianship and restoration of New Zealand's natural resources. With a clear vision for a thriving natural environment, The Aotearoa Circle brings together leaders from both the public and private sectors to address the urgent task at hand. New Zealand, known for its wealth of natural resources, faces mounting concerns about their degradation and the risks they pose to future generations.
The initiative aims to halt and reverse this decline by amplifying existing efforts and bridging gaps in environmental conservation. By fostering meaningful partnerships and collaboration, The Aotearoa Circle is committed to achieving systemic change and sustainable prosperity for all. Guided by the values of kaitiakitanga and koha, the initiative focuses on key areas such as sustainable finance, marine preservation, biodiversity, climate change, and land and soil conservation.
