The Arc Otsego

The Arc Otsego is a nonprofit organization and chapter of The Arc New York, serving people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families throughout Otsego County, New York. Founded in 1965 by local parents, friends, and professionals, it provides community-based support and advocacy to help individuals pursue personal goals and live fulfilling, self-directed lives with dignity. The organization supports more than 400 individuals and works in partnership with families, communities, and local businesses.

Its person-centered services span different stages of life and include employment services, vocational training, transition services, supported employment, Pathway to Employment, residential services, and quality life planning. The Arc Otsego also operates projects that bring together work, art, and community, including Creekside Industries, Main View Gallery & Studio, and the Otsego ReUse Center. Events, recreation opportunities through Fit & Fun, workshops, grants, and membership offer additional ways to participate and connect. Donations help sustain the organization’s services, programs, and supports, while career opportunities and community involvement further its mission across the county.
