About The Arts Foundation
The Arts Foundation, also known as Te Tumu Toi, is a brand dedicated to backing artists and amplifying their impact in New Zealand. Established in 1998, the Arts Foundation honors extraordinary New Zealand artists by providing financial support and recognition. Over the past twenty-one years, they have gifted 259 outstanding artists with awards totaling $6 million.
Additionally, through their crowdfunding website, Boosted, they have raised almost $8. 4 million, bringing the total amount contributed to nearly $15 million. The Arts Foundation's major awards, such as the Icons, Laureates, and Springboard, celebrate New Zealand's most outstanding artists in various disciplines.
They also administer endowed awards, including the Harriet Friedlander Residency and the Katherine Mansfield Menton Fellowship. Committed to making the arts accessible to everyone, the Arts Foundation spreads awareness through videos, social media, mainstream media, and a dedicated month in September. By joining this national movement, you can support the arts and make your mark on Aotearoa New Zealand
