The ASH Network, also known as the Accessible Supportive Healing Network, is a Michigan nonprofit supporting people and families affected by substance use disorder. Founded in loving memory of Ashley Postma, who died from an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2023, the organization aims to make support more accessible, healing more human, and conversations about addiction less stigmatized. Its work is shaped by the challenges families can face when navigating substance use disorder, treatment, and support systems.
The network’s signature offering is the ASK Bracelet, with ASK standing for “Addiction Silence Kills.” The bracelet is designed as a visible message of hope and an invitation to ask for help, check in with someone, or offer support. The organization reports distributing more than 40,000 bracelets across the United States.
The ASH Network also connects visitors with trusted external resources, including confidential treatment searches, Michigan naloxone information, and the 988 crisis lifeline. It encourages people to share resources, wear bracelets, and contribute to its work through giving options such as PayPal and an Amazon wish list. The network does not provide emergency, medical, or clinical services.
