About The Auxiliary
The Auxiliary Project Space is a renowned artist-led organisation that focuses on artistic development, large-scale exhibitions, and community participation. Housed in an expansive 11,000 sq ft warehouse, The Auxiliary offers artist studios, exhibition spaces, and workshops. With a commitment to supporting artists and fostering creativity, this National Portfolio Organisation is at the forefront of the art scene.
Excitingly, The Auxiliary is scheduled for a major refurbishment in May 2023, made possible by the DCMS Cultural Development Fund. The brand is led by a talented team including Liam Slevin, the artistic director, and Anna Byrne, the managing director. Their expertise and passion contribute to the success of The Auxiliary and the Middlesbrough Art Weekender.
