The Base Woodland is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy serving Woodland, Washington, and nearby communities. Established in spring 2023 by Jake and Sara Halcumb, the school is affiliated with The Base Vancouver and The Base Longview. Its training is built around hard work, teamwork, and structured, technique-focused instruction, welcoming both hobbyists and competitors.
The academy offers adult and children’s Jiu-Jitsu classes, along with Suples strength training and yoga. Head instructor Jake Halcumb earned his black belt under Professor Chris Dealy at The Base Vancouver.
