The Black Cat Cakery

The Black Cat Cakery is a small independent bakery in Manchester, specialising in delicious, handmade rustic cakes. Its range is primarily vegan, with a small selection of non-vegan cakes in the gluten-free section. Cakes are made to order, and many can accommodate dietary needs, including vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and free-from-refined-cane-sugar requirements.

The bakery uses high-quality ingredients and supplies cakes to local shops and cafés across the Manchester area, including Unicorn Grocery, Open Kitchen, Hulme Community Garden Centre café and Northern Light Cinema locations in Sale and Stretford. Its products also appear at community events and local markets. The business is guided by a commitment to ethical and local sourcing, and to reducing its environmental impact.

Ingredients are often sourced from Unicorn Grocery and Suma, with independent local shops used where possible for other supplies. The bakery composts food waste and recycles paper, cardboard, tins, glass and plastic. Customers can contact The Black Cat Cakery to discuss orders and dietary requirements
