The Brainerd Center

The Center in Brainerd is a community gathering place dedicated to helping mature adults enjoy healthy living, social connection, lifelong learning, and stronger community ties. Its welcoming programs and activities give members opportunities to stay engaged, meet friends, and take part in active aging. Visitors can explore activities, join the organization, volunteer, support its work, or learn about its Legacy Fund and upcoming craft shows. The Center also offers room rentals and shares news and information through its website and newsletter.

A distinctive part of its community life is its fresh cake donuts, made for Thursday mornings. Flavors include white, chocolate, and blueberry, with toppings such as German Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Maple, and Cream Cheese, as well as seasonal choices and a Donut of the Month. Donuts can be pre-ordered online or by phone, with pickup at the Center’s Great Room on Kingwood Street. The Center also provides treats for parties and picnics by arrangement. Located at 803 Kingwood Street, it welcomes visitors Monday through Friday.
