The Bryant Searcy Scholarship Foundation

The Bryant Searcy Scholarship Foundation (TBSSF) is a Detroit-area 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping local students pursue higher education. Established to honor the life and legacy of fallen Deputy Corporal Bryant Searcy, the foundation aims to address unequal access to financial resources by providing scholarships to deserving youth who may otherwise have fewer opportunities to attend college. Its work focuses on empowering students and supporting their educational goals and future prospects.

TBSSF offers a scholarship program for students from the Detroit Metro Area, with information about applying and previous recipients available through its website. The foundation also shares a video tribute, recipient testimonials, and updates about its mission. To support its work, TBSSF invites individuals to donate and organizations to become corporate supporters, helping invest in Detroit’s youth and community. Fundraising activities include events such as a scholarship ceremony brunch, a planned 5K walk, and a skating party fundraiser. Visitors can subscribe to the foundation’s mailing list for event news and announcements about scholarship application periods.
