CEFI (Centre for Excellence in Financial Inclusion) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving financial inclusion in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Established in 2016 in partnership with the Bank of Papua New Guinea and the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, CEFI's mission is to increase access to financial services by promoting financial education, supporting the development of financial products and services, and advocating for policies that enable financial inclusion. CEFI works closely with stakeholders including government agencies, financial institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector to implement initiatives that promote financial inclusion.

Some of their key initiatives include the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, which aims to develop and implement a national strategy to increase financial inclusion, and the promotion of agent banking networks and digital financial services to expand access to financial services in remote areas. By promoting financial inclusion, CEFI aims to eradicate poverty in PNG and improve the livelihoods of individuals and communities
