The CentRE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the environment. With a vision of a just and sustainable energy future, they believe in a community-centered approach to renewable energy (RE). The CentRE offers a range of programs and projects to empower stakeholders and accelerate the deployment of RE.

Their core projects include the annual RE Congress, a multi-stakeholder gathering for exchanging knowledge and building partnerships in the RE field. The RE Academy is an intensive education program that enhances understanding and skills, particularly among youth, local governments, workers, and women. The CentRE also focuses on developing CRISP projects, catalytic renewable energy initiatives in marginalized areas to address energy access and inclusive development.

Additionally, they have launched the Women in Inclusive and Sustainable Energy (WISE) initiative, aiming to document women's experiences and perspectives and formulate gender-responsive energy policies. The CentRE publishes REimagine, a publication showcasing transformative and innovative RE initiatives in areas with high energy poverty rates.
