Welcome to the Clarke Family Foundation, formerly known as The Aloe Institute. The Aloe Institute has been transitioned to the Clarke Family Foundation by its leaders to reflect changes in the original mission of The Aloe Institute. While still concerned with the health applications of the aloe plant, the new foundation has broadened its scope to include supporting research and efforts outside of the aloe plant’s medical and health applications to include other treatments seeking to combat a host of different health issues. It is the Clarke family’s sincere wish that their efforts will lead to advancements that will provide people with the opportunity to live healthier, more active lives.

The Clarke Family Foundation is a nonprofit organization established by Jess and Evelyn Clarke to support health and wellness through research, education, and philanthropy. Formerly known as The Aloe Institute, the foundation has expanded its mission beyond aloe’s medical applications while continuing to fund research into the plant’s potential benefits. Its work includes support for studies on aloe and digestive health, diabetes control, cholesterol reduction, skincare, and burn care, as well as educational outreach and the publication of a monthly newsletter.
The foundation also shares research findings with scientific and educational communities, maintains an aloe research information database, and identifies other charitable organizations with complementary goals. More recently, its areas of interest have included eye care, reflecting the founders’ experience with macular degeneration. Funded through donations and grant-making, the foundation invites supporters to contribute financially, volunteer, or help spread awareness of its work.
Family members Jane B. Grace and Robert B. Clarke serve on its board, continuing the founders’ commitment to advancing knowledge and improving lives worldwide
