The Collective is a developing community initiative focused on helping disabled people live the lives they want to live. Its approach centres on friendship, belonging and meaningful opportunities, with activities and support shaped around people rather than systems. The community is being built together with the people who will use it, and the organisation describes itself as still growing.
Its first planned provision is a specialist day service for young adults aged 19–25 with profound and multiple learning disabilities and significant physical support needs. This provision is in development and is not yet operational.
