McCarthy, a former newspaper reporter, The Comic's Comic provides the ultimate guide to the world of comedy. McCarthy curates the best and funniest content, cutting through the noise to bring you the must-know information about comedians, comedy shows, and comedy news. His dedication to the comedy beat has earned him recognition and praise from notable publications such as The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, and Variety. Additionally, he has made appearances on NPR, BBC Radio, and MSNBC, among others.

In addition to the website, The Comic's Comic also offers a podcast called "Last Things First." Hosted by McCarthy, this inspirational interview series features conversations with comedians and funny people in the comedy industry.
