The Creative Cat is an art, photography, writing, and poetry website created by artist and author Bernadette, whose work and stories are inspired by animals, especially cats. It brings together creative features, personal essays, daily photographs and sketches, poetry, rescue stories, and articles on living with and caring for pets. Visitors can explore commissioned animal artwork and pet portraits, read book reviews and animal-related writing, and learn about pet loss, backyard wildlife, fostering, and cat rescue.

The site also highlights resources for shelters, veterinary assistance, spay and neuter services, pet-friendly rentals, and animal cruelty laws. Through its shop, The Creative Cat offers animal-inspired merchandise, including calendars, gift books, greeting cards, and other artwork. Custom artwork can also be ordered, with examples of commissioned portraits featured in the artist’s portfolio.

Its content reflects a personal commitment to animals and creative expression, connecting readers with practical information, heartfelt stories, and original art celebrating the human-animal bond
