of The Creative Naiad

The Creative Naiad, LLC is the art and creative teaching business of Laurie, a soulful artist based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Inspired by nature and the Driftless Region, Laurie creates welcoming, gentle spaces where people can explore creativity without pressure or a need for perfection. Drawing on more than 30 years of nursing experience and a background leading nonprofits serving families and youth, she approaches art as a form of self-care, connection, and emotional healing.

Laurie offers creative classes designed to help participants reconnect with their imagination and creative instincts. Her work includes intuitive acrylic paintings, naturally dyed fiber art, eco-printing, and artwork influenced by flowers, foliage, and landscapes. The shop features fiber art, greeting cards, and acrylic prints, available through her website and Etsy. Visitors can also explore art blogs, nature photography, stories, and reflections on mindful living. Through classes, artwork, and online content, The Creative Naiad invites people—especially those who may feel out of place—to create, find inspiration in nature, and take part in a supportive creative community.
