The Deer Wood Trust C.I.C. is a not-for-profit organisation in South Hams, Devon, helping people reconnect with nature through woodland-based well-being, outdoor learning and conservation. Its work is rooted in caring for a 12.5-acre native woodland, promoting sustainable living, and creating a safe, inclusive space for local communities and visitors, including people who may be socially disadvantaged or face mental or physical challenges. Proceeds from activities support the Trust’s charitable aims.

Deer Wood offers well-being courses, day immersions and creative, practical learning experiences, including therapeutic art and carpentry, meditation, Qigong, Reiki, sound meditation, natural paintmaking and woodland horticulture. The woodland venue is available for mindful eco-events, courses and retreats, with opportunities for guest facilitators and corporate team-building and de-stress days. Visitors can also book personal tours about off-grid living, attend community events, volunteer in woodland ecology work, or take part in activities for children.

The on-site Native Tree Nursery sells bare-root and potted trees grown from locally collected seeds and nuts.
