About The D*List
The D*List is the home of disability culture in Aotearoa, offering an online culture magazine that provides a platform for disabled people to share their stories through features, columns, and news reporting. Emerging from a co-design process by the NZ Human Rights Commission and Curative, The D*List is an independent, disability-led social change movement reclaiming narratives through authentic storytelling and community events. The team, including Executive Director Red Nicholson, Editor Olivia Shivas, and Community Lead Tania Bissett, is dedicated to promoting equity and inclusivity.
Illustrations by Kim Anderson add a unique touch to the brand's visuals. Committed to honoring Te Tiriti, the brand ensures a strong partnership between Mฤori and disability cultures. Supported by philanthropic trusts, The D*List aims to inspire change through impactful conversations, stories, and experiences, welcoming all to exist fully and unapologetically
