The Dupree House

The Dupree House is an event venue in the Historic Brooklyn District of downtown Smithfield, offering a distinctive setting that combines Southern charm with modern comfort. Housed in a carefully restored 1903 property, it welcomes guests with a wrap-around porch and elegant reception areas. The venue also features a functional bar and a private back deck suited to outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours.

Designed for weddings, special occasions, corporate events, and family gatherings, The Dupree House offers versatile spaces for seated dinners or cocktail receptions of up to 70 guests. Its team works with clients to tailor each event to their vision, and prospective hosts can request information, check date availability, or arrange a tour with the event coordinator.

The venue also hosts public events, including “I Do” Re-Do, an annual wedding-item sale that connects sellers of gently used dresses and décor with shoppers seeking affordable, distinctive finds. With its historic character, flexible event spaces, and personalized planning support, The Dupree House provides an elegant backdrop for meaningful celebrations.
