About The DV Shelter
The DV Shelter, Inc. Originally one of the first three domestic violence shelters in Ohio, The Shelter was founded by a compassionate group of citizens determined to offer safety and options to those in danger. Starting with an all-volunteer team in a Mansfield office, The Shelter quickly expanded and currently operates from a 10,000 square foot facility with 10 client rooms, accommodating up to 29 individuals comfortably.
Over the years, their services have evolved to encompass a wide range of support for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. They offer emergency shelter, a 24/7 crisis line, intensive case management, support groups, legal advocacy, hospital advocacy for sexual assault survivors, community education, and volunteer programs. With their recent expansion, The DV Shelter aims to meet the growing demand for their services and ensure survivors in their community don't have to travel for help.
