The Farm at Oatland North is a nonprofit animal sanctuary on the north end of St. Simons Island, Georgia. Incorporated in 2012 as a 501(c)(3) charity, it rescues and provides a safe home for abused, neglected, abandoned, retired, and unwanted animals. The sanctuary’s mission is to help animals regain trust and live out their lives in peace, comfort, dignity, and love, supported by the Murrah family, volunteers, and friends.

Visitors can explore the farm during open house, held most Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. when weather permits, or by appointment. The organization also welcomes volunteers and donations, and offers animal sponsorships, with monthly options for horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, and cats. Guests are asked to follow farm guidelines that protect both visitors and animals, including supervising children, staying outside enclosures, and checking with volunteers before offering treats. The Farm also features a children’s book about Tex’s arrival, available as a gift for young readers.
